When my daughter came to me with a serious concern about something happening at school, I did what any parent would do: I trusted the adults to listen, investigate, and help the students involved. Instead, I found myself navigating a confusing disciplinary process, chasing answers that should have been clear from the start, and wondering how many other families were going through the same thing without the time or persistence to push. That was my breaking point. For years I'd been the parent with her hand raised, asking questions in school offices and at board meetings. I realized that if I truly believed things could be better, I couldn't keep saying so from the sidelines. I'm running for Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees, Place 3, because students, parents, teachers, and staff deserve thoughtful, accountable leadership. One place I'd start: a clear, dependable path from concern to resolution, so that when a family raises a serious issue, they know who's responsible, what happens next, and when they'll hear back. I don't have all the answers. But I will listen, look honestly at the facts, and push for improvements we can measure. That's why my campaign is simple: Listen. Analyze. Improve.

Raising a concern should be treated as a chance to make the district better, not a problem to be routed away. And when many families raise the same issue, the board should treat it as a signal of a systemic problem, not a stack of unrelated complaints.
Public schools run on public trust and public dollars. I'll push for budgets that are tracked against actual spending, trends that are watched before they become surprises, and programs that are measured on whether they deliver results. Before we spend, we should ask what problem we're solving and how we'll know it worked.
Trustees need timely, meaningful information on finances, academic outcomes, staffing, and operations, early enough to ask questions and act. The public deserves a clear view of how decisions are made and whether they're working.
Teachers are closest to students and make our schools work. When we ask more of them, we should be able to say what we've taken off their plates. I'll also protect strong academics alongside fine arts, music, athletics, and activities, where many students first find their place.
